Marian A. Carbaugh McConnellsburg, 82

Marian A. “Skip” Carbaugh, 82, McConnellsburg, died Thursday, May 3, 2012, at Penn Knoll Village, Everett, Pa.

She was born in Webster Mills, Pa., on February 25, 1930, the daughter of the late Raymond E. and Bessie E. (Evertts) Souders. She was the wife of Preston R. Carbaugh whom she married on December 4, 1946.

She was a member of Calvary Independent Baptist Church, McConnellsburg, and also was a seamstress and a homemaker.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by son Preston E. ( husband of Joyce) Carbaugh of Mc- Connellsburg; daughter Gayle E. (wife of Pete) Knepper of Chambersburg; son Marvin L. (husband of Kylara) Carbaugh of Fayetteville; daughter Carole L. (wife of Earl) Edwards of Big Cove Tannery; son Mark E. (husband of Debra) Carbaugh of McConnellsburg; sister Helen Sheeder of Mc- Connellsburg; brothers Paul Souders of McConnellsburg; Roger “Byrd” Souders of Mc- Connellsburg; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, two great-great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Souders; a sister, Betty Keebaugh; one infant sister and a grandson, Michael Carbaugh.

Services were held at Calvary Independent Baptist Church, McConnellsburg, at noon Monday, May 7, 2012. Pastor John Hodge officiated. Interment was in Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg.
