Dexel D. Spencer Fort Littleton, 67

Dexel Dean Spencer, 67, Fort Littleton, formerly of Cream Ridge, N. J., died Thursday, May 3, 2012, at the VA Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va., following a brief illness.

He was born in Manns Choice, Pa., March 16, 1945, a son of the late Emma C. (Fritz) and Russell Spencer.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Harnish) Spencer.

He served in the U. S. Army in the Vietnam War.

He worked as a computer programmer and analyst at McGraw Hill Companies.

He attended Tussey Mountain High School and was of the Methodist faith.

He was a member of Mc- Connellsburg American Legion where he served as a board member.

He is survived by two sons: Kevin and Michael Spencer; two sisters: Leona Stapleton and Martha Reisinger; three stepdaughters: Rhonda Kindig, Marylee and Julie Reisig; and the following grandchildren: Russell, Jonathan, Amanda, Brooke, Emma, Austin, Grant, and Kenna.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Popa, and a stepson, Robin Lee Reisig.

Friends are invited to call on Friday, May 11, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc., Broad Top City.

Memorial services will be held at Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc., Broad Top City, at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 11. Interment will be at Schellsburg Cemetery Schellsburg with military honors being conducted by McConnellsburg American Legion Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Donors Local Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
