A Hustontown area man and two juvenile passengers escaped injury when their northbound 2004 Chrysler Town and Country was rear ended on April 26. Mc- Connellsburg State Police reports indicate 41-year-old Josiah C. Wilt was attempting to turn into his driveway along Route 655 when his vehicle was struck from behind by a 1995 Ford Escort driven by Douglas R. Brown, 45, also of Hustontown. Police said Brown was negotiating a right hand curve in the Taylor Township roadway at 4:58 p.m. and was unable to stop in time to avoid the collision. Brown, Wilt, and Wilt’s passengers, a 9-year-old boy and an 11-year-old boy, were all wearing seat belts and were not injured.
State police are slated to charge Brown with following too closely.
