Wife Of Pa. Budget Chief Pleads Guilty To DUI
YORK, Pa. (AP) – The wife of Pennsylvania's budget secretary is awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to driving under the influence and driving drunk with a suspended license.
Forty-eight-year-old Georgina Zogby entered the pleas Friday in York County court. Her attorney says there is no sentencing agreement with prosecutors.
Fairview Township police said they found a car on its roof, blocking both lanes on Moores Mountain Road, on the afternoon of Sept. 28. Police said Zogby had been driving the car while legally drunk.
Zogby, the wife of state budget secretary Charles Zogby, pleaded guilty last week in Cumberland Court to two counts of retail theft.
Defense lawyer William Fulton says his client is getting treatment and has been sober for seven months.
