Resurfacing Begins On Rt. 522

On Tuesday, May 1, work began to give residents a safer and smoother roadway as resurfacing work started on Route 522 in Bethel Township, Fulton County.

The contractor will be paving approximately 4.1 miles of Route 522 from the intersection of Routes 522 and 643 continuing south to the I-70 Interchange. Other work will include guiderail upgrades.

Work on this project will be constructed under single-lane closures that will be controlled by flaggers during work hours.

The contractor for this $1.8 million project is P & W Excavating Inc. and all work is expected to be completed by August 2012.

Motorists are advised to be patient and use caution while traveling through the work zone.
