McCbg. FFA Holds Awards Banquet

McConnellsburg FFA held its annual awards banquet Monday, April 23, to honor chapter members, parents, and community members who supported them throughout the year. The banquet was held at Sideling Hill Christian Church.

Hunter Buterbaugh was named Star Greenhand and Sara Wenschhof was named Star Chapter Farmer. Kristin Hawbaker received the Dekalb Agriculture Accomplishment award and her mother, Holly Stains, was awarded the Honorary Chapter Degree.

In addition, members were recognized for their achievements throughout the year, including public speaking, fair SAE projects, and safe tractor driving. Five members received their Discovery degrees, 11 received Greenhand degrees and four received chapter degrees.

Krista Deshong and Kristin Hawbaker were recognized for receiving the area FFA degree and Keystone Degree respectively. Eleven seniors were recognized for all their hard work throughout the years and given sashes for graduation. Local community members were also recognized for their help and support with chapter activities throughout the year. Many memories and stories were shared.
