Sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Audrey Starr who lost her life in an automobile accident last Monday evening.

Steve and Karen Grissinger visited with Jim, Lori, Brenden, Holden and Camden Lupey on Saturday evening to check out the new baby goats. Eight babies had arrived with more expected this week. Later in the evening, Donnie and Panda Horne and Morghann and Weston Kelly visited with the Lupeys to check out the newest members of the herd. A person could spend some quality time watching the little goats’ funny antics.

Donna Locke hosted a birthday celebration for Gordon Locke on Sunday afternoon. Those attending were Adam, Amanda, Toryn, Cameron and Brayden Locke, Ruth Grissinger, Dodie Price, Nora Grissinger, George and Heather Locke, Irene Park, James Locke and Tiffany Moore, Justin Locke and Steve, Karen and Terri Grissinger.

Ramon and Tammy Martin were in Richmond this weekend for the races.

Recent visitors with Steve, Karen and Terri Grissinger were Edsel Hamman, Gordon and Donna Locke, Tom and Mamie Streightiff, Travis Madden, Brent Carlson and Tim, and Tracey and Tanner Fields. Tanner Fields enjoyed checking out all the animals on the farm.

Angel Wings will be hosting the second annual Matt Murphy benefit ride and pig roast Saturday, June 9, at Harper’s Memorial Park with riders leaving at noon. The event will open to the public at 4:30 p.m. All proceeds will benefit Penny Chilcote.

Three Springs Fire Co. is busy planning for their annual carnival on Memorial Day weekend. Anyone wishing to take part in the parade should get their entry submitted as soon as possible.

The annual Bradley Gilliland chicken barbecue scholarship meal will be held at Orbisonia Lion’s Club Pavilion on Sunday, May 6, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Reserved take-out tickets are available from the SHC FFA students or family members. Please support this scholarship fund in Bradley’s memory.
