We have been having some lovely spring weather but still not much rain.

Knobsville folks reported having a great day with the rummage sale and food sale Saturday. Thanks to all who helped and supported them.

We send speedy recovery wishes to Betty Shotts who has not been doing so well.

It was a disappointment to see a very low turnout at the primary last Tuesday. I guess we aren’t concerned about going out to vote for leadership. But the primary is very important - that puts the folks on the ballots for the fall election. This is a presidential year.

Happy birthday wishes to Harriet Hill on May 8.

Fairview United Methodist Church will have a chicken barbecue at their community building on Saturda, May 19, at 4 p.m.

Sympathy is extended to the family of Florence Helman and also to the Sandy Rouzer family.

Household Hint: Fabric softener sheets can pull double duty. Use them twice, once in the dryer and again in the rinse cycle of the next workload.
