Evelyn I. Hann Hustontown, 84
Evelyn Irene Hann, 84, Hustontown, died at 6:24 p.m., Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg.
Born June 27, 1927, in Hustontown, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Olive (Clark) House Sr. She was married to Gerald C. Hann Sr., who died on December 23, 1998.
She is survived by two sons: Gerald Hann Jr. of Hustontown and Gary Hann, Harrisonville, along with four grandchildren: Jason Hann, Shellia Hann, Hanna Meyers and Justin Hann; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Four brothers, Robert, Clem, Clifford and James House and one sister, Margaret Roberts, preceded her in death.
Inher early years, she had worked at Stanley Co., Chambersburg, and later at Sagner Inc., McConnellsburg. She had owned and operated a restaurant/gas station/ garage known as Hann’sPlace in Hustontown for a number of years. She later operated Hann’s Furniture, Hustontown, until her retirement.
She was a member of Hustontown Church of God.
She enjoyed going to the Hustontown Senior Citizens Center, playing dominoes, music festivals and eating out. She especially liked participating in the “Young at Heart Games” and being around people.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Hustontown Church of God. Rev. David Pine officiated. Interment was in Hustontown Cemetery.
M. R. Brown Funeral Home, Hustontown, was in charge of arrangements.
