ACS Thanks Its Volunteers

To The Editor:

American Cancer Society volunteers are vital members of our mission to save lives and create a world with less cancer and more birthdays!

The American Cancer Society wants to thank every volunteer for all of their hard work, whether it is joining a Relay for Life team, helping with our Daffodil Days campaign, taking a cancer patient to treatment as a Road to Recovery driver or perhaps getting the word out about our Look Good ... Feel Better Program. Volunteers are out there in our communities helping us reach cancer patients and their family members every day.

April 15-21 was National Volunteer

Week and it is the perfect time to let our volunteers know that their help is vital to the American Cancer Society’s ability to continue the fight against cancer through lifesaving cancer research, education, advocacy and patient service programs. Our volunteers are helping to make Fulton County a better place to live.

We invite anyone wishing to become a volunteer to visit cancer.org or call 1-800-227-2345 to find out more about the volunteers opportunities available through the American Cancer Society.

Barbara Weller,

Fulton Unit Volunteer

Leadership Council
