The War Production Board has ordered that deliveires of gasoline to stations in this area be cut

50 percent by May 16. Present deliveries are twothirds of normal.

Jimmy Sloan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thoams F. Sloan of McConnellsburg, celebrated his sixth birthday last Saturday.

Pvt. Kenneth P. Seiders is now stationed at Fort Riley and Pvt. Clifford Seiders is stationed at Fort Knox.

Heads of families are “marching to the polls” on Monday to register for sugar-rationing books.

William F. Daniels of Harrisburg, a member of the Dauphin County Bar, entered the military service on April 30 as a major in the Judge Advocate General’s Department in Washington.

Mr. and Mrs. Earl Chamberlain of Wells Tannery celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on April 30.

Lt. James W. Shobe and Lori Barton were married April 25.
