Cove Creek Cleanup
Fulton County Library Teen Advisory Board and Fulton County Conservation District will be doing a cleanup of Cove Creek on Sunday, May 20, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Meet at Clevenger’s Beverage Connection in Mc- Connellsburg.
Fulton County Food Basket will present Commodity Supplemental Food Program for the elderly over the age of 60 April 25, at Community State Bank Community Room, 415 Fulton Drive, McConnellsburg, at 10 a.m. Sherri Lynn wil have an informative presentation how to enroll and what benefits are offered to consumers. Flamingo Flocking Fundraiser
Forbes Road Class of 2014 is having a flamingo flocking fundraiser from April 13 to May 13. The students will pick yards to be “flocked.” This means that they will put a flock of flamingos in someone’s yard. Then those people will pay $15 to remove the flock. You also have the option to flock someone else’s yard for $10. If you don’t want to be flocked at all, there is a fee for $20 pre-insurance that needs to be turned in to the school or a classmate by April 11. Pleasant Grove Christian Church, will hold its seventh annuals spring auction May 26, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lawnmower races will be held at 5 p.m. and yard sale begins at 9 a.m. Bring the whole family for a fun-filled day.

Due to limited staffing, Fulton County FSA office, located in McConnellsburg, will be closed on the following dates: April 20; May 4; May 18; June 1; June 15; June 29. Historical Society DVDs
Video tapes of the 1936, 1950, 1961 and 1986 celebrations and parades have been transferred to DVDs as a fundraiser for the jail renovation by the Fulton County Historical Society. The two-disc set has nearly 3-1/2 hours of viewing time of these historical treasures. They can be obtained locally at the treasurer’s office and the library for $20 or by mail add $2.50 for postage. Spring fling will be held at McConnellsburg United Methodist Church April 28, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., starting with a potato and salad bar, followed by a town auction at 6 p.m. outside the church. All are welcome to attend and enjoy the fellowship.
