Sportsmen’s League Meeting

Fulton County Sportsmen’s League will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the stone house at the trout nursery April 20. Plans for the spring open house and children’s rodeo on May 20 will be discussed.

Quilt Club Meeting

Fulton County Quilt Club will meet Saturday, April 21, at 10 a.m. at Community State Bank, Fulton Drive, McConnellsburg. After a short business meeting, embroidering will be worked on for redwork blocks for the 2013 raffle quilt. Please be sure to bring an embroidery hoop and an embroidery needle to the meeting if wanting to help out with one of the blocks. All are welcome.

Garden Club Meeting

North End Garden Club will meet at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 24, in the community room of Fulton County Library for the annual Garden Club tea. Bring a fancy finger food, teacup and hat. Following the tea and meeting, Secret Sisters will be revealed and names drawn for 2012. New members and visitors welcome. More information may be obtained by calling 717-485-5736.

Cemetary Assoc. Meeting

Wells Valley Presbyterian Cemetery Assoc. will hold its annual meeting at the home of Harry Johnston April 21, at 7 p.m. Any member may attend.

Farm Women Meeting

Fulton County Society of Farm Women will meet May 5, at the Save-A-Lot at 8:30 a.m. The program will be breakfast and tour greenhouse in Spring Run.

Historical Society Dinner Meeting

The annual dinner meeting of Fulton County Historical Society will be held Thursday, April 19, 2012, at 6 p.m., at Hustontown Firehall. The program will feature Celtic songs from the Highlands of Ireland and Scotland. Charlie Zahm on guitar and fiddler Tad Marks are popular performers at Celtic music festivals across the United States and are highly recommended. Ticket price for both the roast beef buffet and entertainment are $15 with checks mailed to the Fulton County Historical Society, Box 115, McConnellsburg, PA 17233. Deadline is April 10.
