Trio Of Brush Fires Reported In Central Pa.
LOYSVILLE, Pa. (AP) – Fire officials say windy, dry conditions contributed to a trio of central Pennsylvania brush fires over the weekend.
Two fires were reported in Perry County with a third reported in York County on Sunday.
Nearly two dozen fire companies responded to a fire in Southwest Madison Township, Perry County. A trio of air tankers was called in to drop water on the flames before it was brought under control.
No injuries were reported and officials did not report any homes damaged. It was not immediately clear how much land had been burned.
A red-flag warning was in effect for much of the state through Monday night because the dry conditions combined with wind made fires difficult to contain.
