Vehicle Hits Deer

A northbound 1998 Chevrolet Trailblazer struck a white-tailed deer along Black Bear Road on Tuesday, March 27, according to state police reports.

Police said Michael J. Kreps, 51, of Warfordsburg, attempted to avoid the impact, which left his vehicle with front-end damage. The Trailblazer went off the Licking Creek Township roadway at 5:25 a.m. where its undercarriage struck a concrete culvert. The front end then hit a tree stump.

Kreps and his passenger, 46- year- old Rochelle A. Kreps, also of Warfordsburg, both escaped harm. They were wearing seat belts.
