The barn on the Edgar Berkstresser farm at Hustontown was completely destroyed by fire last

Wednesday afternoon. Firemen from Hustontown and McConnellsburg were able to save the pigs and a calf owned by Mr. Berkstresser’s grandson, which were kept in the barn, but all the rest of the contents were destroyed. The cause of the fire has not been determined, but Mr. Berkstresser feels that a short in the electrical wiring could have started it.

Trout season opened on Saturday morning with a deluge of rain and thunder and lightning storms. Even so, the majority of anglers who fished anyway went home damp but with a good catch of fish, many of them with the limit of six trout.
