MHS To Present “Anything Goes”
The action begins aboard the SS American before its midnight sailing from New York to England. Billy Crocker is on board to see his former boss, Elisha J. Whitney, and to plead with Mr. Whitney to rehire him. While waiting, Billy runs into his old pal, Reno Sweeney, a nightclub singer turned evangelist who is sailing with her chorus, a bevy of beauties dubbed the Angels. Also aboard is Hope, the girl with whom Billy has just fallen in love with. At sea the fun really begins, and the plot grows quickly. It’s a wonder that all the romances are sorted out and disaster is averted, but indeed they are aboard the magical ship where “Anything Goes.” Melissa Horton and Erica Sexton have done a phenomenal job with costumes, the tap dancing is awesome, and the musical numbers are outstanding.
Don’t miss this fun-filled show. Admission is adults $5 and students $4. Advanced tickets can be purchased in the high school office. Show dates are March 29, 30 and 31, at 7:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium.
