Chosen As American Miss Finalist

Rose Clippinger, 14, son of Ronald and Barbara Clippinger of Hustontown, has been chosen as a state finalist in the National American Miss Pennsylvania pageant to be held August 12 and 13 at Hilton Towers in Harrisburg.

The National American Miss pageants are held for girls ages 4-18, and have five different age divisions. Rose will be participating in the junior teen age division, along with other outstanding young women from across the great state of Pennsylvania.

The winner of the pageant will receive a $1,000 cash award, the official crown and banner, a banquet of roses and air transportation to compete in the national pageant in California, where she will receive an exciting complimentary tour of Hollywood and two VIP tickets to Disneyland.

Rose’s activities include field hockey, races, student council, having fun with friends and song writing. She also enjoys Wii game competitions with family, hunting, babysitting, drawing and singing.
