Fulton County Area Vocational Technical School Allied Health students recently hosted two simultaneous blood drives through the American Red Cross. The blood drives were held at McConnellsburg High School and Southern Fulton High School.

Sierra Helser and Casey Tritle, juniors from McConnellsburg High School, and Nathan Koontz, Kalli Mabe, Jaedi Weed and Felicia McAllister, juniors from Southern Fulton, planned and coordinated the blood drives as their senior projects.

Members of FCAVTS’ Allied Health program assisted these students throughout the day. More than 40 units of blood were collected from students and teachers between the two schools, making both blood drives successful. Allied health instructor Brandi Mellott and cooperative education instructor Joyce Shull assisted the students with the blood drives.
