Life Celebration Party

My Father’s House Ministries invites all children on April 6, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. to celebrate new life in Christ. Activities include a petting zoo, face painting, games, meal and a movie. More information may be obtained by calling 717-485-4680 or at mfhfamily.com.

Easter Celebration

An Easter celebration will be held for kids ages 1-12 Saturday, March 31, at Pleasant Ridge Nazarene Church, 5806 Pleasant Ridge Road, Harrisonville. Games, stories, egg hunt, snacks will take place. Preregister at 485- 3973 or 573-4586. Preschool child needs adult present.

Easter Egg Hunt

McConnellsburg Lions Club will hold its annual Easter egg hunt Saturday, April 7, at 10 a.m., at Lions Club Park for children up to and including 12 years of age.

Buck Valley Park will hold an Easter egg hunt Sunday, April 1, at 2 p.m. The kitchen will be open for refreshments

Easter Egg Hunt

Forbes Road Lions Club Easter egg hunt will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 7, at Lions Park conditions permitting. In case of inclement weather or muddy grounds the event will take place in Forbes Road High School gym. Eggs, candy and special prizes for toddlers thru 12 yearolds. Raffle tickets are now on sale also.

Open Stage

Hustontown Fire Co. will sponsor an open stage Saturday, April 28, at 6 p.m. Kitchen will open at 5 p.m. Admission is free.

Game Day

Knobsville United Methodist Church, Waterfall Road, will hold an indoor game day Sunday, May 20, from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Everyone is invited to bring their favorite board game or card game and participate in this day of fun and fellowship. Hot dogs, pizza and beverages will be served. Everyone is invited to attend and no preregistration is necessary. Contact Nova Boyer at 485-3539 for more information.

Line Dance

Fulton County Line Dance Club will hold line dance sessions every Wednesday (except the first Wednesday of the month) beginning at 7 p.m. at VFW Post 655, Poplar Street, McConnellsburg. All are welcome. Come and learn some new steps. A $2 donation is appreciated.

Benefit Dance/Auction

A benefit dance, live and silent auction will be held in memory of Ashlyn Buterbaugh at the American Legion, Saturday, April 14, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is $5 per ticket (children 12 and under free). Doors open at 3 p.m. Auction begins at 5 p.m. with dance to follow. Food and soda available for purchase. Raffles and 50/50s will be held. To purchase a ticket or make a donation, contact Nancy Bivens at 717-799-7343. No alcoholic beverages permitted. Seating is limited, call for tickets.

Pony League Registration

Pony League is open for anyone who is 13-14 years of age as of April 30, 2012. Traveling team, but all home games are played at McConnellsburg Lions Club Park. Planning on tournament participation throughout the season. Pick up a registration form and waiver at middle/high school office and return by March 23 to Steve “Gup” Truax or Garry Miller. Cost is $30 at time of registration. Fee includes shirt and hat. Checks payable to Fulton County Pony Baseball. Shooting Match

Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. will sponsor a .410 shooting match Saturday, March 31, at 1 p.m. Shells will be furnished and prizes awarded.

New York Bus Trip

Modern Woodmen of America Camp 7948 will sponsor a bus trip to New York City Saturday, May 5. Cost for transportation and a buffet breakfast is adults $55 and children under 12 is $50. Please send money by April 15 to Rick Claar, PO Box 624, Bedford, PA 15522 or call 888-623- 6719.

Foul Shooting Contest

Lexi’s Lifesavers Relay For Life Team will sponsor a foul shooting contest April 14, 2012, in McConnellsburg High School gym at 8 a.m. Registration is $5. Age categories are 7-9-year-olds, 10-12-year-olds, 13-15-yeaolds, 16-18-year-olds and 19 and older. First-place winners in each category will win $50, second place $25, and third $10. There will be other cash prizes given throughout the day. Refreshments and 50/50 drawings will be available. The deadline to register is March 23, 2012. Also, if you are a business and would like to sponsor a “hoop” you may do so for $100. To obtain a registration form and a sponsor sheet or for information, please call Kim or Lexi at 717-658-1615.

Golf Tournament

The fifth annual Fulton County Chamber of Commerce & Tourism spring fever golf tournament will be held Friday, April 27, at Great Cove Golf Club. Shotgun start at 1 p.m. Entry deadline is April 20. For more information, contact 717-485-4064.

3-on-3 Basketball Competition

The Fulton County Community Christian School (FCCCS) Boosters Club will sponsor a 3-on-3 basketball competition Saturday, March 31, 2012, at the Needmore Bible Church. Cost is $10 per person if preregistered by March 17, or register at the door between 8-8:30 a.m. at $15 per person. There is no admission fee, but donations will be appreciated.

Benefit/Silent Auction

Hancock Rotary Club will hold a benefit and silent auction Tuesday, April 10, at 6:30 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., at Hancock American Legion. For tickets, call 301-678-5660.

Co-ed Basketball

Co-ed basketball will be held for ages 14 and older, at McConnellsburg Alumni & Friends building, every Tuesday in April from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. More information may be obtained by calling Joe at 717-485-6115.
