Celtic Musicians At FCHS Dinner

Charlie Zahm on guitar and Tad Marks on fiddle are popular performers at Celtic music festivals across the United States and will be in Fulton County to present songs of the American Civil War for Historical Society members and friends on Thursday evening, April 19, 2012, at Hustontown Firehall.

A roast beef buffet will open the evening at 6 p.m. Cost for the meal and entertainment is $15 per adult, $7.50 for children ages 5-10 and free under age 5. Mail check to Fulton County Historical Society, Box 115, McConnellsburg, PA 17233, so it arrives by April 10 to reserve your place at the dinner, then check the list for your name when you arrive.

The entertainment will follow the annual business meeting of the Historical Society with election of new officers and recognition of a Historian of the Year. The society’s new publication for 2012, written by Amanda Daniels Neal, will present the saga of John Forney of Knobsville and his Fulton County murder trial in 1863.
