Household Hint: Making Ice – After you finish a quart or half-gallon cardboard carton of milk, rinse it well, fill it with water and freeze it. When summer comes and you need ice to cool blanched vegetables for freezing you can use these solid chunks of ice. Also those frozen containers help keep the freezer full for maximum efficiency. They can also be used in picnic chests and punch bowl.
