McClain Honored For 50 Years Service

Described as a model employee, Gail McClain, 75, center, was honored for 50 years of employment at Ott Brothers Furniture and Appliance with an appreciation reception held at the third-generation-owned store Friday. Attended by a round table of local men who regularly gather to discuss local issues, McClain was subject to good-natured ribbing along with cake, coffee and donuts. A trade school graduate in large appliance mechanics, he still works five hours per day and is part of the appliance service team. Pictured with McClain is John Ott, left; and Mitch Ott, right. Standing, left to right are service techs Raymond Briggs and Gerry Rife.
