Bob Carter, the local postman, had shoulder surgery recently and will be home recuperating for awhile.

Betty Strait of Needmore, along with her brother, Jerry Haines of Mifflinburg and family, and her sister, Wanda Haines and son of Baltimore, recently enjoyed a cruise to the Bahamas, porting in Nassau and Freeport.

McConnellsburg senior class, along with chaperones, returned home last Friday after spending a week in Florida visiting Disneyworld and other vacation spots.

Sympathy goes out to the families of Mildred Barnhart of Needmore and Cloyd Covert, who both passed away last week.

Forbes Road Drama Club presented the musical “Oklahoma” last week. A full house of folks really enjoyed it.

A celebration party was held Sunday in the home of Justin and Hillary Knepper for her mother Jackie Hahn’s birthday and for the children returning from their senior trip.
