Donald “Donnie” Truax is home recuperating from heart surgery last week in Harrisburg.

Roger Sowers is now in Chambersburg Hospital after heart surgery last Tuesday in Harrisburg. He was having breathing difficulties and, hopefully, will return home this week.

It was nice to see Jim and Eunice Hawbaker in church on Sunday after several weeks of not being able to attend. They have been on the sick list, and Jim spent some time in Chambersburg Hospital.

Congratulations to Southern Fulton girls basketball team on winning the District 5 basketball title victory a 53-40 win over Berlin Saturday night.

The Friendship Class of McConnellsburg Methodist Church was busy with its annual soup and pie sale last week.

The girls of McConnellsburg Class of 1957 enjoyed a luncheon on Tuesday in Greencastle.

A bridal shower for Jenna Horton was held on Sunday at mother Michele Kendall Horton’s in Waynesboro. Relatives from this area attended. Jenna is getting married in April in Key West, Fla.
