DA Files Juvenile Charges Over Playoff Game Punch

CALIFORNIA, Pa. (AP) – Prosecutors have filed juvenile charges against a western Pennsylvania high school basketball player over an oncourt punch during a weekend league playoff game.

Woodland Hills High School player Shakim (shah- KEEM') Alonzo reportedly punched a Peters Township player during Saturday’s game at California University of Pennsylvania.

Alonzo said after the game opposing players had used a racial slur.

Peters coach Gary Goga denied his team used racial slurs but a campus security worker says he reported such language to the coach.
