Drugs Involved In Accident
Pennsylvania State Police in McConnellsburg investigated a single-vehicle crash in Brush Creek Township over the weekend that was allegedly linked to drug use.
Reports state that on Saturday, February 18, Warfordsburg resident Jennifer Irene Shaw was heading southbound when she lost control of her black Pontiac Grand Prix. The car went off the berm of Moss Road and struck a tree with its left side at 9:54 p.m.
Police said that through the course of their investigation, they determined prior to the crash Shaw had allegedly purchased drugs while an 8-year-old girl was in her vehicle. Later on, police allege Shaw, 34, injected the drugs and proceeded to drive her vehicle intoxicated.
Neither Shaw nor the juvenile were injured during the crash. Both were wearing seat belts.
Shaw was arrested and is slated to be charged with driving under the influence, the use or possession of drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of children.
