DUI Checkpoint Scheduled
A driving-under-the-influence sobriety checkpoint is scheduled to be conducted locally in upcoming weeks by Pennsylvania State Police. In their announcement, police said motorists will encounter a brief stop at the checkpoint. In the event there is an indication a driver has consumed alcohol or a controlled substance, the occupants may be detained for further investigation. Police concluded primary emphasis during the checkpoint will be on driving-under-the-influence related violations, but all laws will be enforced.
