Evelyn F. Strait William G. Winslow
Evelyn F. Strait, 86, Mc- Connellsburg, died Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at Fulton County Medical Center.
She was born May 29, 1925, in Peters Township, Pa., the daughter of the late George and Irene (Mellott) Heinbaugh. She was married to David Strait on July 28, 1943.
She was a housewife and homemaker, but also worked as a home sewer for Overly- Raker and volunteered at the Fulton County Food Basket for several years. She was very active as a church mother in the Supreme Council of the House of Jacob Church.
She is survived by by four sons: David W. (husband of Aleatha) Strait Jr. of Harrisonville; Michael G. (husband of Patsy) Strait Sr. of McConnellsburg; Mark R. (husband of Shirley) Strait Sr. of McConnellsburg; and Daniel E. (husband of Ruth) Strait Sr. of McConnellsburg; one daughter-in-law, Connie D. Strait of McConnellsburg; 20 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Dayton Heinbaugh of Chambersburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents: George and Irene Heinbaugh; her husband, David W. Strait Sr; one son, Timmy L. Strait Sr.; four sisters: Rose Carbaugh, Mary Gunder, Bertha Ott and Bessie Roher; six brothers: Frank, Harry, Lemeul, George, Charles and Grover Heinbaugh; and two grandchildren: Michael G. Strait Jr. and Miriam R. Strait
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 18, 2012, at Supreme Council of the House of Jacob Church in McCon-nellsburg. Interment was at Supreme Council of the House of Jacob Church Cemetery.

William G. Winslow, 77, Waterfall, died Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at Meritus Hospital, Hagerstown, Md.
Born August 31, 1934, at Emlenton, Pa., he was a son of the late George and Beulah (Corbett) Winslow. He was preceded in death by his companion, Patricia J. Mellott, on January 20, 1992.
Surviving are one daughter, Lisa Skiles, and husband Ted of Hustontown, and two stepsons: Tony Mellott of Hustontown and Tim Mellott of McConnellsburg; four grandchildren: Hannah Skiles, Emma Skiles, Jenna Vinson and Josh Mellott; three great-grandchildren; one brother: Richard Winslow and wife Cynda of Chambersburg; one nephew; and two nieces.
He was preceded in death by his twin brother.
He was a member of Freedom Worship Center, Fort Littleton.
He graduated from Emlenton High School in the Class of 1953. Upon graduation from the Pittsburgh Technical Institute, he was employed by General Electric Inc., the C.I.A. and was last employed by Waring Products Inc., McConnellsburg.
He was an avid hunter, fisherman and trapper and loved golf.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 18, 2012, at Freedom Worship Center, Fort Littleton. Pastor Kevin Wade officiated. Interment was at Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Waterfall.
M. R. Brown Funeral Home, Hustontown, was in charge of arrangements.
Full military honors were by Fulton Honor Guard at the graveside on Saturday.
