Two teens have been suspected of underage transport of alcohol after state police conducted a traffic stop along Pleasant Grove Road on Friday, February 10.

According to reports, troopers searched the girls’ vehicle and located two, open 12-ounce cans of beer behind the driver’s seat. In addition, a multi- colored smoking device containing suspected marijuana residue was also found.

In addition to accusing the 17-year-old female from Hancock, Md., and 18-yearold Needmore resident Laura Emily Hawkins of underage transport, Hawkins could be charged with the use or possession of drug paraphernalia pending the receipt of lab results.

State police added a preliminary breath test was performed on both girls with negative results.
