Get well wishes to Ken and Jean Brown, Jenn Jenkins, Irma Jenkins, Alton Madden, Darlene Spidle, Reba Campbell, Angela Hamman Cook, Eloise Swope, Bob Hoffman, and Lynn Knepper.

Speedy get well wishes to Fred Fleming who had shoulder surgery last week.

Brian, Emily, Micah and baby, Adelyn Ramsey visited with Roger and Pat Ramsey on Sunday evening.

Chuck McClanahan was guest speaker at Walnut Grove Church of God on Sunday. Chuck and his wife, Chris, enjoyed lunch at the New Fort Restaurant along with Paul, Susie, Alan and Tracey Schmidt, Barb Frehn, Fred and Sue Fleming, Fred and Sharon Horne, and Roger and Pat Ramsey. Chuck will conduct revival services at Walnut Grove Church April 1-4.

Cassie and Caleigh Clark, daughters of Gary and Donna Clark, enjoyed a dressup day in McConnellsburg on Saturday for Little Princess Day 2012.

Recent visitors with Steve and Karen Grissinger and family were Travis Madden, Brent Carlson, Tom and Mamie Streightiff, Donna Locke, and Ramon and Tammy Martin.

Steve and Karen Grissinger recently enjoyed a visit with Jim, Naomi and Shanelle Hertzler of Shirleysburg. The Hertzlers had just returned home from a trip to Mexico.

Terri Grissinger spent the weekend in Harrisburg with FFA students attending a conference.

Mike Jenkins is looking for a 2-year-old yellow Lab that slipped his collar recently. He will answer to Rover and is greatly missed by children, Kolton and Kayla. Please give Mike a call if you happen to see him.

Also looking for a dog this week was Gary Snyder and his work crew who were doing some remodeling work at the Locke residence. If you heard someone hollering for joy, it wasn’t because he was happy but that a sneaky “furball” named Joy was doing some elusive hiding. All were very “ joyful” when she showed up and returned to her kennel.

Orbisonia United Methodist Church will be hosting its Saturday breakfast gatherings and Friday Night Jam events at the Outreach Center.

Orbisonia United Methodist Church will be host the Saturday night checkers games beginning at 5:30 p.m. Held the last Saturday of each month, this activity is open to the public.

More than 70 folks enjoyed the annual Angel Wings Sweetheart Charity Benefit on Saturday evening. Some of the folks attending were Gordon and Donna Locke, Ramon and Tammy Martin, Steve and Karen Grissinger, Gary and Valerie Mitchell, Jim and Dee Stetchock, Alton and Treva Madden, and Larry and Irma Jenkins. A great big thankyou is extended to the Angel Wings gals and Ruth Grissinger, who are doing a great job.

Shade Gap Volunteer Fire Co. has begun its annual hoagie sales. The price is $4.50. Please call to place large orders or stop in and pick up a few up for dinner. If you would like to donate your time to help or deliver, please contact a member of the fire company.

Three Springs Fire Co. will be having a meal on Sunday, February 19. Eat in or take-outs will be available.

Immanuel Bible Church will be holding a soup social on Sunday, February 26, following morning worship services.
