Hope everyone had a nice Valentine’s Day, and the weather hasn’t been bad yet.

A nice crowd attended the auction at Hustontown Firehall on Friday evening.

Shirley Tice is recuperating after breaking her arm. We send speedy recovery wishes her way. Also, hope Dorothy Shotts gets a good report on her checkup.

Lenten Bible study will start Thursday, February 23, at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome at Knobsville United Methodist Church. It was also good to see a nice crowd at Knobsville United Methodist Church on Sunday.

We are glad to hear John Goshorn will be returning home from Afghanistan in a couple weeks.

Sorry to hear Betty Shotts isn’t doing so well. Our prayers go out to her for a speedy recovery and also prayers for Dorothy too.

Household Hint: Bay leaves drive away roaches. Place bay leaves in the pantry in cupboards and on shelves to drive away cockroaches. The various chemical compounds present in bay leaves have been found to be a roach repellent.
