Tussey Mountain 58

McConnellsburg 49

A fourth-period comeback by McConnellsburg fell just short Monday night when Tussey Mountain plodded ahead for a 58-49 Sideling Hill League win. Tyler Green’s hot shooting streak continued for the Spartans after he dumped in 23 points. Evan Appleby netted 13 points and three assists. Tony White finished with seven points and eight rebounds.

Southern Fulton 82

Fannett-Metal 41

Southern Fulton commanded a huge lead going into the halftime break and ended last Friday night’s game over Fannett-Metal with a huge 41-point Sideling Hill League victory. Seth Hall led his Indian teammates with 18 points. Meanwhile Damon Gordon added 12 points, eight assists and six steals. Brandon Wertz also chipped in 12 points during the match. Jacob Ashkettle and Nick Smartt both finished with nine points.

Southern Fulton 55

Hancock 43

For the third time during the 2011-12 season Southern Fulton downed Hancock, Md., defeating Hancock 55- 43, with Nick Smartt paved the way with 17 points and seven rebounds. Brandon Wertz rallied for 10 points, and Seth Hall added eight points and three steals.

McConnellsburg 65

Forbes Road 53

An evenly matched game until the halftime break, Forbes Road saw the gap widen against the McConnellsburg Spartans, who rallied for a 65-53 win last Friday night. Tyler Green pumped in 18 points during the Spartans’ victory, and Evan Appleby and Tyler Branche contributed 17 and 15 points, respectively. Tony White finished with 11 points.

For the Cardinals, Brett Burger came alive during the second half with 21 points and 19 rebounds for his first double-double of the season. Tyson Berkstresser added 10 points.

Hancock 54

FCCCS 31

The Fulton County Community Christian School Chargers trailed by 20 at the halftime break last Friday and closed out the nonleague match in a disappointing 54-31 loss to the junior varsity squad from Hancock, Md. Skyler Gordon reached double figures with 17 points and nine rebounds. Nathan Leedy was the next-highest scorer with five points.

Frederick Force 42

Frederick Force outscored Fulton County Community Christian School during the final two periods of Monday’s game and eked out a two-point, non-league victory. Nathaniel Gingerich rallied for 14 points and three steals, while teammate Skyler Gordon also added 14 points, nine rebounds and three steals. Caleb Gingerich wrapped up the game with nine points and four assists.

Southern Fulton 65

Chestnut Ridge 49

Chestnut Ridge took its first Sideling Hill League loss last Tuesday evening when the Southern Fulton Indians ran away for a 65-49 win. Seth Hall led the Indians during their big victory with 25 points. Teammate Nick Smartt rallied for 15 points, and Damon Gordon followed with 14 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

Forbes Road 47

Leading at halftime by five points, the Forbes Road Cardinals saw their lead dissipate and end in a eightpoint loss to Tussey Mountain. During last Tuesday’s Sideling Hill League game, Tristan Gelvin was the Cardinals’ high scorer with 10 points and four assists. Chris Everts added nine points, while Brett Burger, Jordan Sowers and Chase Shaw all had seven points.

York Country Day 54

FCCCS 31

Poor shooting in the third quarter led to the demise of Fulton County Community Christian School, which dropped last Tuesday’s nonleague match to York Country Day. Skyler Gordon had almost all of the Chargers’ points during the 54-31 loss netting 25 points. Caleb Gingerich added four points, four steals and four assists.

Hancock 40

FCCCS 35 The Fulton County Community

Christian School battled against the junior varsity squad from Hancock, Md., only to end the non-league match in a close five-point loss. The Chargers were led by Rebecca Truax, who netted 10 points. Christina Koontz contributed seven points and 11 rebounds, while Morgan Daniels had seven points and four assists. Jenae Gordon also added seven points.

Southern Fulton 69

Fannett-Metal 40

Macey Hollenshead led her Southern Fulton Indians teammates to a victory over Fannett-Metal last Thursday night. Hollenshead wrapped up the 69-40 Sideling Hill League win with a tripledouble, which consisted of 17 points, 10 assists and 10 steals. Teammates Kayla Chilcote and Taelor Morton hit double digits as well with 14 points each, while Ashley Roman added 10 points and seven rebounds.

York Country Day 55

FCCCS 29

Having won two consecutive games, the Fulton County Community Christian School Chargers’ streak came to an end last Tuesday with a 55-29 non-league loss to York Country Day. Jenae Gordon tallied 11 points, seven rebounds and four steals for the Chargers, and Rebecca Truax chipped in 10 points. Morgan Daniels finished out the game with six points.
