One Teen Injured In Crash

A 17-year-old passenger was injured in a single-vehicle crash involving a northbound 2005 Dodge Neon and a utility pole, state police said. The female passenger, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered moderate injuries and was taken by Hancock ambulance to Meritus Hospital in Hagerstown for treatment.

The driver, a 17-year-old girl from Hancock, Md., was not injured. She was using a seat belt when the 9:28 a.m. crash occurred on Thompson Road on Friday, February 3.

State police are filing charges related to driving too fast for roadway conditions. They were assisted at the scene by Winfield Salvage.
