Ashlyn N. Buterbaugh
Ashlyn Nicole Buterbaugh, 18, Hustontown, died at 11:35 p.m, Wednesday, February 1, 2012, as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Dublin Township, Fulton County.
Born July 24, 1993, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of Gerald and Sherri (Garman) Buterbaugh of Hustontown.
One sister, Miranda Buterbaugh, survives at home, along with a paternal grandmother, Frieda Mannetti, Needmore, and maternal grandparents Jane and Richard Doney of Hustontown.
She was a member of Knobsville Church of the Brethren, where she taught the elementary Sunday school class.
A senior and class vice president at Forbes Road High School, she was dually enrolled in the Allegany Community College program. She was a member of student council, the yearbook committee, high school chorus and district chorus. She also participated in the FBLA and the FCCLA.
She was a 10-year member of Fulton County 4-H Club, where she was active in the Shooting Club, Rabbit Club and the Licking Creek Little Critters Club.
She loved to hunt and fish with her father and was an avid reader.
In recent weeks, she worked at the Sheetz store in McConnellsburg.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, February 5, 2012, at Knobsville Church of the Brethren. Rev. Chris Elliott officiated. Interment was in Old School Baptist Cemetery, Three Springs.
M. R. Brown Funeral Home, Hustontown,was in charge of arrangements.
