PinnacleHealth To Provide Tertiary Medical Services For FCMC

SPECIAL TO THE NEWS

McConnellsburg-based Fulton County Medical Center (FCMC) has selected PinnacleHealth as its partner for tertiary medical and surgical services that are not available in that area. The arrangement is effective immediately.

Tertiary care is specialized consultative healthcare, usually for inpatients and patients on referral from a primary or secondary health professional, to physicians and facilities that offer advanced medical investigation and treatment.

Tertiary care services available under the collaboration cross a variety of specialties, including cardiovascular care, orthopedics, oncology, robotic surgery, maternal fetal medicine for high-risk pregnancies, and other complex medical and surgical interventions.

“Fulton County Medical Center is proud to have chosen PinnacleHealth as our proven partner for providing tertiary services not available locally,” said Jason Hawkins, president and chief executive officer at Fulton County Medical Center. “It is always a benefit to the community when we can expand access and ensure that our patients can receive leading-edge treatments.”

“We are pleased by this partnership. Through it, we combine proven medical excellence and make advanced care available to people in Fulton County and surrounding communities. Both FCMC and PinnacleHealth share a commitment that people in all the communities we serve should have the benefit of highquality, innovative medical care.” said Dana Kellis, M.D., senior vice president and chief medical officer at Pinnacle- Health.
