VFW Asks For Support Of Veteran Needing Bypass Surgery

To The Editor:

The VFW Post 655 would like to ask for the support of the community on February 19 at a spaghetti lunch to benefit Roger Sowers and his family. Roger has been undergoing dialysis for several years and is now in need of triple bypass surgery.

Many of you know Roger from working at Remsburg’s Garage. Roger also is the Fulton Honor Guard bugler, an active member in our local veterans organizations and a husband and father. His health problems have kept him from working full-time and he has been unable to keep up with his insurance and medical bills.

We are asking everyone to come to the VFW on February 19 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., for a spaghetti buffet that includes salad, roll and butter, and a dessert. Cost for the meal is $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12.

One hundred percent of the proceeds are being donated to Roger and his family. Please show your support by coming and enjoying a meal in our alcohol-free and smoke-free club. Any questions, please call us at 485-4352 between 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thank you for your support.

Toni Hann-Howell,

VFW Steward
