Fannett- Metal finally clinched its first Sideling Hill League victory last Friday night when the Tigers picked up a 60-50 win over McConnellsburg. Three members of the Spartans’ squad reached double figures during the league match with Tyler Green paving the way with 19 points and three steals. Evan Appleby contributed 12 points, and Tony White added 10 points and five assists.
Southern Fulton 63
Forbes Road 40
With only a two-point difference coming out of the halftime break, Southern Fulton used the second half of last Friday evening’s league match to trounce the Cardinals from Forbes Road. Winning the game by a margin of 23 points, the victorious Indians were led by Nick Smartt with 25 points. Damon Gordon finished with 15 points, and teammates Seth Hall and Alex Seburn had eight and six points, respectively.
Meanwhile, Cardinal Chris Everts tallied 12 points as his team’s high scorer in addition to pulling down 10 boards. Tristan Gelvin and Tyson Berkstresser were the next highest scorers with nine and seven points, respectively.
Greencastle-Antrim 66
Southern Fulton 58
Mirroring their match from last season, Greencastle Antrim showed Southern Fulton why they are currently undefeated last Wednesday night. With the Indians dropping the nonleague match 66-58, Alex Seburn led Southern Fulton with 13 points. Damon Gordon followed close behind with 11 points, while Nick Smartt and Jacob Ashkettle had nine and eight points, respectively.

Lighthouse Christian 13
Fulton County Community Christian School jumped out to a decisive lead last Thursday and cruised to to an easy 50-13 non-league win over Lighthouse Christian. Bethany Myers had a big night on the court for the Lady Chargers with 16 points and 14 rebounds, which represented her first double-double of the season. Whitney Schultz followed closely with 12 points, and Jenae Gordon rounded out the night with 11 points.
Northern Bedford 75
Forbes Road 53
Forbes Road allowed its three-point lead in the opening period last Tuesday to dwindle away during a disappointing 75-53 loss to the Northern Bedford Panthers. Sammie Clippinger led the Lady Cardinals, pouring in a team-high 21 points and making two steals. Jessica Gearhart reached double digits with 14 points during the Sideling Hill League game and also made two steals and grabbed seven boards. Shayla Carmack chipped in 10 points and dished out five assists.

Tussey Mountain 45
Southern Fulton downed Tussey Mountain for the second time this season last Tuesday with a 10-point Sideling Hill League win. Macey Hollenshead had 14 points and seven assists, and teammate Taelor Morton also racked up 14 points and made two steals. Kayla Wertz finished with 10 points, and Ashley Roman added seven points and two blocked shots.

With McConnellsburg and Fannett-Metal both taking the lead at times during last Thursday’s match, it was the Spartans who eventually prevailed for a 64-57 Sideling Hill League victory. Nikki Fleming finished out the league game with a whopping 24 points and nine rebounds. Libby Strayer also reached double digits with 19 points and three steals. Rikki Green was the nexthighest scorer with nine points.

Forbes Road 18
Forbes Road only mustered up one point in the opening period last Thursday while the Southern Fulton Lady Indians streaked ahead for an easy 54-18 Sideling Hill League win. The Lady Indians were led by Macey Hollenshead with 14 points, six assists and seven steals. Teammate Taelor Morton contributed 13 points, and Ashley Roman followed with nine points and seven rebounds. Jessica Gearhart and Breanna Worthing were the leading scorers for the Cardinals with five points each.
Greencastle-Antrim 48
McConnellsburg 38
Even though several key players were in foul trouble Monday night, Greencastle- Antrim still managed to prevail against the McConnellsburg Lady Spartans for a 10- point victory. Becca Hahn led the scoring effort with 14 points and also dished out two assists. Teammate Sarrah Pollock chipped in 11 points and two assists, while Nikki Fleming rounded out the night with 10 points and nine rebounds.
Tussey Mountain 56
Forbes Road 38
Even though the first half was openly matched, Forbes Road was outscored by a margin of 16 points by the Tussey Mountain Titans. Eventually losing the Sideling Hill League game 56-38, Shayla Carmack tallied 16 points and three steals for the Cardinals. Sammie Clippinger dumped in nine points, and Jessica Gearhart led the defense with 10 rebounds.
Southern Fulton 53
Chestnut Ridge 30
Macey Hollenshead fell just shy of a triple-double Monday night when the Southern Fulton Indians downed Chestnut Ridge by the end score of 53-30. Hollenshead netted 13 points while also grabbing eight boards, making seven steals and dishing out 10 assists. Ashley Roman provided 12 points during the league match, and Taelor Morton added 11.
