Charges Pending Additional Investigation

Charges against a Pittsburgh man are pending further investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police into a recent single-vehicle crash along Interstate 70.

According to police reports, 36-year-old Marcus E. Williams was travelling westbound through Union Township on January 23 when he lost control of his 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt. The car spun on the wet roadway and eventually travelled down an embankment. In addition to striking the embankment, Williams’ car also reportedly struck a right of way fence.

Williams was wearing a seat belt and escaped harm. He will be cited by state police for driving a vehicle at unsafe speeds.

State police were assisted at the 1:07 p.m. crash scene by PennDOT.
