Pennsylvania State Police from the McConnellsburg barracks were dispatched to the scene of a single-vehicle accident in Bethel Township on Tuesday, January 17.
According to reports, Warfordsburg resident Elizabeth A. Williams was travelling eastbound on Buck Valley Road when she crossed a patch of ice while driving too fast around a curve. Williams’ 2002 Ford Ranger travelled onto the berm at 8:33 a.m. where it struck an embankment and rolled onto its side.
Williams, 44, was wearing a seat belt and escaped harm. She will be cited by state police for driving on roadways laned for traffic and an inspection-related violation.
