David E. Yeager

David E. Yeager, 84, Chambersburg, died Sunday, January 29, 2012, at Falling Spring Nursing Home.

He was born September 2, 1927, in St. Thomas, to Merle and Louise (Lininger) Yeager. He was married to Joan Alloway Yeager on September 2, 1951.

He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Chambersburg and a 50-year member of George Washington Masonic Lodge. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed camping. He had retired from Eagle Construction.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joan Alloway Yeager, and their two children: Terri L. Yeager of Chambersburg and Jeffrey (husband of RenĂª) Yeager of Chambersburg; five grandchildren: Monica Miller, David Yeager, Storme Yeager, Stephanie Van Brakle and Scott Yeager; four greatgrandchildren: Charlie Miller, Brooklyn Miller, Kimber Yeager and Coal Yeager; two step-great-grandchildren: Jessica and Joshua Miller; and four siblings: Irvene “Jake” Yeager, Janet Wingert, Robert Yeager and Donald Yeager.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, February 2, 2012, at Kelso- Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd. Chambersburg with Rev. Rick Noll officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at Parklawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be sent to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 750 Norland Ave., Chambersburg, PA, 17201. Kelso- Cornelius Funeral Home, 725 Norland Ave, Chambersburg, will handle the arrangements.
