New Latter-day Saint Missionary

Sister Melissa Palmer, a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, returned home to Idaho after finishing her 18- month mission. Sister Jennifer Swensen has joined Sister Whitney Egbert in serving the Hancock Ward.

Sister Swensen, from St. Anthony, Idaho, spent the first 10 months of her mission for the church in Kent Island and Damascus. She has one older brother and four older sisters, all married.

Swensen earned an Associate’s degree in business from Brigham Young University – Idaho. She worked in the customer service department of Artco, a stationary printing company. At Excellence in Everyone, a developmental agency, she helped clients set and achieve goals.

While at home, Swensen plays piano, flute, and saxophone and enjoys anything musical. She likes to read and put together puzzles and, because she takes pleasure in anything having to do with the arts, she loves going to concerts and plays.

Upon completion of her mission, wensen plans to go to cosmetology school so that she can open up her own shop.
