Vehicle Hits Sign

A Philadelphia, Pa., man was transported to UPMC Bedford Memorial following a single-vehicle crash along Route 30 on Friday, January 20.

According to state police reports, Kacey R. Murdock, 20, suffered moderate injuries during the 5:42 a.m. crash. He was taken to the hospital by Raystown EMS.

Murdock, police said, was injured while travelling eastbound through Route 30 near the intersection of Bark Road. Murdock lost control of his 2007 Mercury Milan on the wet roadway. The vehicle traveled onto the berm and hit a traffic sign. Following initial impact, the vehicle struck an embankment and rolled over.

Murdock will be cited by state police for driving a vehicle at unsafe speeds. State police were assisted at the scene by the Breezewood Volunteer Fire Co. and Interstate Towing.
