Truck Runs Into Embankment
Pennsylvania State Police troopers were dispatched to the scene of a single-vehicle wreck in Wells Township during the early morning hours last Tuesday.
According to police reports, 34-year-old Wells Tannery resident William E. Beachley was travelling southbound on Wells Valley Road when he crossed an icy patch at 1:20 a.m. Beachley’s 1996 Chevrolet S10 slid across the road just south of the intersection of Enid Road and onto the berm where it struck an embankment.
Following impact, police said the truck travelled up the embankment and overturned before coming to a rest on its roof in the middle of the road.
Beachley was wearing a seat belt and suffered only minor injuries, police concluded.
