Brother, Sister Jailed For Trying To Blow Up Car
A brother and sister from Fulton County were jailed in neighboring Franklin County earlier this month after they reportedly attempted to blow up the vehicle of a local woman.
Pennsylvania State Police in Chambersburg reported 25-year-old Harrisonville resident Patricia Elyse DeShong and Quentin Adam De- Shong, 22, Hustontown, were remanded to the Franklin County Prison on January 7 in lieu of $25,000 bond. Both DeShongs have since posted bail and were released from the prison.
Reports state that police were dispatched to the Hillside Tavern in Fannettsburg at 2:50 a.m. on January 7. Troopers found the hood up and various hoses disconnected on a 2006 Ford Fusion belonging to a Hustontown woman. The windshield and driver’s side window were cracked, police noted, and the rear window was broken out.
Furthermore, blood was found on the front passenger seat, and dents covered the exterior of the car. In addition, police claim they discovered the gas cap had been removed, and tampons were used to reportedly ignite the gas tank. Damage has been estimated at $7,000.
At the time of their arrest, police stated the license plate and registration card were allegedly found inside a purse belonging Patricia DeShong.
