Marian D. Divelbliss
Marian Delorce Divelbliss, 80, Berkeley Springs, died Monday, January 23, 2012, at Berkeley Springs Rehab & Nursing and was under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born June 5, 1931, in Morgantown, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Herbert and Nora Evelyn Keifer Piper.
She was a member of Love Assembly of God in Berkeley Springs. She attended public schools in Oldtown,
Md., and was a retired seamstress from Londontown Manufacturing Co. in Hancock. She had been a homemaker in recent years and was a member of Red Hat Ladies.
She was active with Senior Life Services of Morgan County and enjoyed playing bingo, dominoes, walking, taking car rides, church activities and word search puzzles.
She is survived by a daughter, Betty Lou Smelser, Great Cacapon; two sons: Kenneth Wayne Hutchinson, Great Cacapon and Roger Keith Hutchinson, Berkeley Springs; four sisters: Olive Beeman, Oldtown, Md.; Dora Wilson, Cumberland, Md.; Phyllis Rader, Fort Pierce, Fla., and Joyce Frye, Romney, W.Va.; a brother, James Piper, Oldtown, Md.; 11 grandchildren: Marty Wayne Powers, Great Cacapon; Lori Ann Woodal, Berkeley Springs; James Douglas Hutchinson, Randleman, N.C.; Jason Wayne Hutchinson and Melanie Cheri Hutchinson, both of Berkeley Springs; Erica Lynn Hutchinson and Amy Michelle Hutchinson, both of Great Cacapon; Bradley Allan Hutchinson, Hagerstown; Nichole Marie Hiett- Hutchinson, Uniontown, Tenn.; Marra May Hutchinson and Brooklyn Dawn Hutchinson, both of Berkeley Springs; nine great-grandchildren; numerous stepchildren, step-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Irvin Arley Hutchinson Sr., her second husband, Rev. Floyd A. Truax; her third husband, Curtis William Divelbliss; a son, Irvin Arley Hutchinson Jr.; and two sisters: Helen Lydard and Glenda Robertson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, January 26, at Love Assembly of God, 73 Buzzard Acres Lane, Berkeley Springs. Pastor Dave Kidwell will officiate. Interment will be Mt. Nebo Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Helsley- Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. The funeral home will be open from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday for the convenience of family and friends.
