John H. Hann

Hustontown, 85

John Henry Hann, 85, Hustontown, died at 11:20 p.m., Monday, January 16, 2012, at Fulton County Medical Center, Mc- Connellsburg.

Born January 31, 1926, in Needmore, he was the son of the late Henry and Altie (Hill) Hann. He was married to Betty McClain on July 21, 1951, in Everett. She survives at home.

Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Buterbaugh, Carlisle; one grandson, Steven Buterbaugh of Carlisle; and two grandchildren: Madelyn and Andrew Buterbaugh; and a sister, Lucille Angle, Chambersburg.

He was preceded in death by two brothers: George S. Hann and Carl D. Hann and two sisters: Madeline Vitti and Dorcas Hann.

He was a member of Calvary Independent Baptist Church, Saltillo, but more recently attended Calvary Independent Baptist Church of McConnellsburg.

Retiring in 1988 from JLG Industries, McConnellsburg, after 23 years service, he had worked as a maintenance worker.

He was a member of Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co., Mt. Zion Lodge #774, Free and Accepted Masons, McConnellsburg, Harrisburg Consistory and Jaffa Shrine, Altoona.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Friday, January 20, 2012, at M. R. Brown Funeral Home, Hustontown. Rev. Roger Truax and Rev. John Hodge officiated. Interment was made in Center Cemetery, Waterfall.

Mt. Zion Lodge conducted a Masonic memorial service on Thursday evening at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
