Fulton County Republicans will gather on February 19 at the Mc-

Connellsburg firehall to celebrate the annual Lincoln Day dinner, sponsored by the Fulton County Council of Republican Women and the Fulton County Republican Committee.

The annual Fulton County Dairy Day will be held at the McConnellsburg Firehall on Friday, February 18.

Newton C. Taylor and Stuart L. Kurtz, Huntingdon attorneys, opened law offices, under the name of Taylor and Kurtz, in the Comerer building at 111 Lincoln Way East, McConnellsburg, on Tuesday of this week.

Temperature readings registered below zero most mornings this week, as Fulton County experienced its first really cold spell of the winter, which has been unusually mild.

Engagement: Mr. and Mrs. William W. Connor, McConnellsburg, announce the engagement of their daughter, Naomi Diane, to Stephen Carl Seiders, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl R.Seiders of McConnellsburg.

News of men in service: Allen L. Hollinshead, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne D. Hollinshead, and wife, Carol, Harrisonville, recently was promoted to Army Specialist Four, while serving with the 14th Armored Cavalry regiment near Bad Hersfeld, Germany. Air Force Sergeant Larry E. Akers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edison A. Akers of Warfordsburg, has been named Outstanding Crew Chief in his unit at Hickam Air Force Base in Hawaii. Aviation Electrician Donald E. Mellott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl W. Mellott of Needmore, was recently promoted to Petty Officer First Class. He is currently stationed at the Naval Air Station at Willow Grove, Pa. Pvt. Ronald E. Harr, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Harr of Needmore, is receiving his basic training in Army Reserves in Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.

Harold Ivan McMullen of Fort Littleton and Mabel Elnora Kerlin of McConnellsburg applied for a marriage license at the local courthouse last week.

Births at the Medical Center: a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. George Bookwalter of Mercersburg on January 29; a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. George Golden of Falling Waters, W. Va., on February 3.

Miss Zoe Mason celebrated her 90th birthday on Friday, February 4, at her home at 213 North First Street.
