Willing Workers of St. Paul Lutheran were busy Monday and Tuesday making their annual vegetable soup project.

Sympathy goes out to the family of John Hann of Hus- tontown, who passed away last week.

Sympathy goes out to Bob and Pat Lynn and daughter Jenny and husband on the death of their newborn son and grandson last week. His twin sister survived and is doing well.

Geraldine Cornelius of Cowans Gap, well known in this area, is now a resident in the Laurel Run Nursing Home in Chambersburg, after suffering two strokes recently.

Super Bowl Sunday will be between the teams of the New England Patriots and the New York Giants.

Public Opinion female student-athlete of the week was Jessica Gearhart of Forbes Road. She plays forward for the Forbes Road Cardinals girls basketball team and is the daughter of Jackie Garman. She drinks a half gallon of chocolate milk before each game.

Public Opinion weekly honor roll student-athletes were Chase Shaw, Forbes Road, and Tony White, Mc- Connellsburg, both for basketball.

A surprise 75th birthday party was held on Saturday in Cito Methodist Church social hall for Yvonne “Sis” Mc- Quade with family members and friends attending.

Happy belated 60th wedding anniversary to Wayne and Betty Miller of Patterson Run Road.

Mary Hoover celebrated her 95th birthday with her family on Saturday at a dinner outing.
