Frederick Force 65

Frederick Force jumped out to a 16-point lead and cruised to a 65-42 non-league win over the Fulton County Community Christian School Chargers. Skyler Gordon made well over half of the Chargers’ points Monday night with 30. Caleb Gingerich added nine points, 13 rebounds and five steals.

Northern Bedford 78

McConnellsburg 56

McConnellsburg started off Monday evening’s game with a 21-point deficit and ended the Sideling Hill League match against Northern Bedford in a 78-56 loss. Teammates Evan Appleby and Tyler Green each rallied for 16 points, and Green also made two steals. Tony White contributed 11 points and seven rebounds, and Jesse Swope rounded out the game with 10 points and three assists.

Chestnut Ridge 70

Forbes Road 50

After falling in the hole by 17 points in the first quarter Monday, Forbes Road finished out the Sideling Hill League match against Chestnut Ridge in a 70-50 loss. Tristan Gelvin netted 18 points and seven rebounds, and teammate Jordan Sowers had 10 points. Chase Shaw finished with eight points and 15 steals.

Southern Fulton 60

Northern Bedford 52

Three members of the Southern Fulton Indians team reached double figures and led their teammates to a 60-52 Sideling Hill League win over the Northern Bedford Panthers. Damon Gordon led the team’s offensive effort with with 16 points and seven rebounds. Seth Hall chipped in 14 points, five assists and eight steals, while Nick Smartt recorded 13 points. Brayden Litton was the next-highest scorer with seven points.

Everett 59

McConnellsburg 50

McConnellsburg rallied late in the game, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Everett Warriors during last Friday’s Sideling Hill League match. Tyler Green had 20 points and five steals to lead the Spartans in the 59-50 loss. Teammates Evan Appleby and Jesse Swope had 13 and 11 points, respectively.

Belleville Mennonite 45

Forbes Road had nine players find the net Friday night and three of those teammates reached double digits during a 73-45 ousting of Belleville Mennonite. Tristan Gelvin and Chase Shaw both tallied 12 points, and Jordan Sowers followed closely with 11. Meanwhile, Gelvin had four steals, and Shaw dished out seven assists. Brett Burger added nine points, and Kyle Schoen rallied for seven points and seven rebounds.

Tussey Mountain 77

The McConnellsburg Spartans have spent five years trying to overcome the Tussey Mountains and reached their goal last Wednesday with a tight 79-77 Sideling Hill League win. Tyler Green maintained a strong offensive effort with 21 points, while Evan Appleby netted 20 points and seven assists. Tony White added a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds, and Tyler Branche reached double digits as well with 10 points.

Southern Fulton 72

Everett 51

Southern Fulton’s offense got off to a slow start last Wednesday evening but awakened during the final three quarters to down the Everett Warriors 72-51. Damon Gordon and teammate Nick Smartt both rallied for 16 points. Seth Hall was the next-highest scorer during the Sideling Hill League game with nine points and seven assists. Alex Seburn finished with eight points.

Forbes Road 60

Hope for Hyndman and Forbes Road battled last Wednesday evening, with the Hornets prevailing by the narrow margin of three points. The Cardinals were led during the 63-60 nonleague loss by Tristan Gelvin, who dumped in 21 points. Chris Everts added 18 points, and Chase Shaw reached double figures with 10 points and six assists.

Juniata Mennonite 36

FCCCS 34

Juniata Mennonite was held to one point in the second quarter last Tuesday but still managed to overcome the Fulton County Community Christian School Chargers by the slim margin of 36- 34. Skyler Gordon netted 15 points to lead his Charger teammates, while Nathaniel Gingerich tallied 12 points and nine rebounds.

Hancock JV 57

FCCCS 34

After jumping out to a two-point lead in the opening quarter last Thursday, the Fulton County Community Christian School dropped the non- league match to the junior varsity squad from Hancock, Md. During the 57-34 loss, Skyler Gordon had the lion’s share of the Chargers’ points with 23. Gordon also pulled down eight rebounds. Caleb Gingerich chipped in five points, one blocked shot and four steals.

Hyndman 9

Hope for Hyndman was easily outmatched Monday evening with Southern Fulton running away for the 51- 9 non-league victory. Macey Hollenshead tallied 11 points and dished out eight assists for the Lady Indians, who also received eight points and two blocked shots from Kayla Chilcote. Ashley Roman and Kayla Wertz added eight and seven points respectively.

The Fulton County Community Christian School Chargers only shot 13.5 percent from the floor Monday evening during a 54-29 nonleague loss to Frederick Force. Jenae Gordon dumped in 26 points to lead the Chargers. Gordon also added six rebounds and five steals.

Forbes Road 59

Hyndman 23

Forbes Road Lady Cardinals Jessica Gearhart and Shayla Carmack each produced a double-double last Wednesday to lead their teammates to a 59-23 nonleague win over Hope for Hyndman. Gearhart finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds, while Carmack followed with 11 points and 10 steals. Corri Parsons achieved double figures with 10 points, and Shania Gelvin and Breanna Worthing added eight and seven points, respectively.

Juniata Mennonite 36

Jenae Gordon scored a game-high 18 points for the Fulton County Community Christian School, while surpassed Juniata Mennonite by a lone point last Tuesday. Morgan Daniels and Rebecca Truax both chipped in six points during the non-league victory.

Two members of the Fulton County Community Christian School’s team reached double figures last Thursday evening when the Chargers downed a junior varsity team from Hancock, Md. Jenae Gordon netted 12 points, grabbed 16 rebounds made four steals and dished out two assists, and teammate Rebecca Truax added 10 points.

Southern Fulton and Northern Bedford took their battle into overtime last Thursday, with the Lady Indians prevailing in the Sideling Hill League match 59-50. Macey Hollenshead racked up a team-high 29 points, while Taelor Morton was the next-highest scorer with 12 and three assists. Jenna Hollenshead led the defensive effort with eight rebounds.

The McConnellsburg Lady Spartans had four teammates reach double digits last Thursday evening during a 59-51 Sideling Hill League win over the Everett Warriors. Becca Hahn led the Spartans with at team-high 17 points and 10 rebounds, while Nikki Fleming contributed 15 points and 14 rebounds. Sarrah Pollock dumped in 11 points and dished out four assists. Teammate Libby Strayer rallied for 10 points and six steals.

Netting just 10 points in the first half, the McConnellsburg Lady Spartans were unable to make up the deficit last Tuesday and fell to Tussey Mountain 70-30. Sarrah Pollock tallied 11 points to lead her teammates, and Becca Hahn and Rikki Green followed with seven and six points, respectively.

Southern Fulton preserved its winning record last Tuesday when the Lady Indians squeaked by the Everett Warriors 48-43. Macey Hollenshead netted 18 points, dished out seven assists and made five steals during the Sideling Hill League match. Taelor Morton and Kayla Wertz both chipped in nine points, and Kayla Chilcote led the defense with two blocked shots and eight rebounds.
